Hello Community,
I received my Skybox F3 yesterday and decided to create my own channel list on upload it to the receiver after doing that i reset my receiver and it loaded till L100 and it got stuck. i've tried the tutorial on this forum to recover it but it says "set stb memory error" i've tried different software and firmwares for my skybox f3 but always the same.
i appreciate all the help :)

1.Make sure you cable is the right one, null modem cable.
2.On you recovery software make sure the com port is the same as what your device manager tells you on your pc.
3.Remember to tick the include boot loader option.
4.Try different versions of boot loader see if that helps.
Good luck.

Hi,
yes i think i am using a null modem cable actually i am using the same for a while also with dreambox and other receivers,
i am using a USB-Serial cable because i dont have accses to a serial port, i have installed the correct drivers for it and changed it to COM1.
i did tick the include boot loader option and i have used all kinds of firmwares and upgrade tools.
dont know what you mean with boot loaders if you mean software then i've used different files.
sry for my english i am german :)
also in the configuration of my USB-Serial cable i've changed the bit rate to 115200 the parity to even the stoppbits to 1, databits to 8 and have put it to Xon/Xoff and also without it

Sorry I did mean software, with the skyboxes the usb-serial cable is a bit hit and miss, the stb memory usually means pc is not communicating with the skybox, this could mean wrong cable, wrong recovery tool, and timing to switch the skybox on but I think you have done all this so the only thing I can suggest is if you are confident enough is to open your box and look a the com port and look for loose connection (dry joint) or a short circuit.

hi,
yeah so i opened the box and looked at the pins that are connected to the motherboard, the pins connected are:
RxD, TxD and the GND.
there is no connection loose or something.
