Absolutely fuming!

New carpet in lounge in October, creamy colour.. all good.. we always take our shoes off.. but sometimes we'd not do it as we where running straight back out...

Few weeks ago. was helping the father change the roof on his garage.. using tar flashing! came home.. and bollocked myself because i thought I'd gotten tar on the new carpet.. managed to cut most of it out so it was bad..

Today comes home.. there is tar everywhere! literally everywhere.. carpet is absolutely trashed.. id been to my parents and thought ffs again!

So me and the mrs argued because she had it on her shoes.. not me nor the kids..

I goes outside and notices there is melted tar on the footpath..

for a few months.. council have been replacing the lamposts.. the tar they used has been melting..! ffs..

Now i need to change the bloody carpet at my expense ****ers..!

Which bit of "we always take our shoes off" do you mean? the bit where you say you don't?

You should thrash yourself within inches of your life, either that or slap in an insurance claim? you'll pay for it when your premiums are a bit higher for a few years. Hard lesson mate, but I'm sure you won't do it again.
