Yesterday, a owner of 2009 Dodge avenger lost all keys, I got key cut and pin code, cut a transponder key (BY165-PT).
When I use the key to open the car (no remote function), then car alarm system been triggered. I ignore it,go ahead using Hotwire to program ,enter PIN code, everything seems fine, add key successfully. But cant***8217; start car, try to start will trigger alarm.
After a few minutes , the alarm stopped. I try to start the car, not working and alarm again. I tried delete all keys option in hotwire, all steps works fine but can***8217;t start car. Alarm still triggered even you open doors.
Later another auto locksmith came, he using computer and a box looks like hotwire, do something then the transponder key I cut working! It really hurt me! Do someone know what the tool he is using? He don***8217;t want to tell me said seldom person has this one. Seems he can turn off the alarm first and program transponder key as well.
hotwire support told me , I can program a remote first then turn off the alarm ,then program the transponder key. But I still prefer have a tool the expert locksmith using, looks quick and more professional.
Thanks.
Allen
