once you have entered your server details into grabit, you then need to download a nzb, but if you're just using virgins own server they only usually hold certain things on for a maximum of 10 days.

you can download nzb's from the following sites

Newzleech.com - Usenet Search (http://www.newzleech.com)
NZBMatrix: NZB Usenet Downloads. NZBs Downloads (http://www.nzbmatrix.com)
NZBsRus.com - Usenet Newsgroup NZB File Search Service (http://www.nzbsrus.com)

once downloaded open with grabit and watch it download:)

however if you get sick of only 10days retention you could try a paid server like i use

Usenet Newsgroups Service, News Servers, Usenet Access - Giganews (http://www.giganews.com)
Usenet Newsgroups - Uncensored Newsgroups from Newsdemon.com (http://www.newsdemon.com)
Thundernews.com - Your source for Premium Usenet Newsgroup Access (http://www.thundernews.com)

google for more

should i still use peerguardian

peerguardian just shields you from blacklisted IPs on P2P protocols, newsgroups use different protocols, so there's no benifit.

You will need a flux capicitor, must have a reading of 2.5 microfarads, also have a zenor diode at the ready.

Only jesting, you have everything, grabit, select the newsgroups you want, left hand side do incremental updates each day to see whats been posted that day.

whether you pay or not is entirely up to you.

retention-----if you use a paid server such as giganews you get 200 day retention (varies with each server you decide to use) on v!rgins free server you get 10 days max, so if you see a nzb that is 199 days old or 20 days old you wont be able to get it in v!rgins.

more binarys----easiest way to think...erm.....lol.....there is lots of binarys out there a.b.boneless, alt.binery etc only certain ones are available on v!rigins free server, but all as long as rentention is within server limits are on paid servers.

I used XNews no need to install and as it very unix based you can do alot of advance config via the rc files.
