advanced diagnostics to pull the precode via obd then you have to enter this info manually via ad900 talking big money to make a fiat kit via obd.

I used FVDI for fiat but cant make via OBD. It read Ecu eeprom ok but dont show me pin code and precoded bytes. Original last version of Avdi cant program keys to fiat via OBD?

This is a good tool also CryptoWork (http://www.cryptowork.com/Fiat) for some models.
You pull out the dump by OBD, precode the transponder with ZedBull, tango etc. and than program the transponder with pincode and SBB or something else.

Abritus72 have new option to be released soon to read eeprom of most fiat body units, by obd. I have cryptowork fiat at moment but it only works on delphi body unit with 93c66 inside like punto (1999-2006). So im waiting out for Abritus72 version.:top:

If you dont want to spend 1,000's then the only options you have are xprog m + clone zedbull + EFfi software, I do lots with this setup and never fails, and total cost less than 500 usd :)

It just means that you have to steer clear of the obd port and get your hands dirty!

I dont think ill be paying for obd options on these cars, unless china gets the price down :)

Yes i have the above tools so not a problem doing it manually but just wanted to double check if there is an obd option anywhere, would make life a little easier.

I've heard the Cryptowork tool can do the Fiat's obd and just had an email from a chinese seller saying the FVDI can also do them obd, dunno how true that is if the orginal AVDI can't even do it.

I was seriously considering the Cryptowork tool but after reading about it on this forum i can't find any positive reviews - does anybody have a good word to say about it?

Cryptoworks 600 euros

I got better deal than that. :top: As the punto,s are getting older no one wants to pay around ?100 for spare key. So you have to make them easier to produce than eeproming. And cryptowork does that well. Like i said it works very well but at the moment its very limited. Thats why im waiting on Abritus72 version, also advanced diagnostics have a version, but you also need the ad BRICK (the ad900) to precode transponder and as i have zedbull not buying AD900. Im sure Abritus72 version will be the best as always.

i hear cryptoworks only ok for code 2 punto's.

after paying half a grand for this tool, how much is a spare key now?

takes 20 mins start to finish to eep these so dont think ill bother with obd option for this, untill stillo and others are added and working :)

ford, vauxhall and fiat

depends what programmers you've got.. if your using ford vcm then nasra ford will be a bit more streamlined to use but maybe pointless if using a better tool already

vauxhall coverage is ok for older cars and good if you've got nothing else but waste of time if you've got avdi opel or carprog

as for fiat if your removing bsi to do these watch someone read it obd in a few seconds making a key in 5 mins flat and I'm sure it will start to tempt you.

I brought one as I thought it was just worth it and will be worth it if they ever release the fiat software for the rest which they claim to have done and sell it cheaper than any other tool.

I dont hear much good news from people who own this, mostly how bad it is :(

Where better to get feedback on a tool than here!

i have cryptoworks ford , vauxhall and fiat , i would never call it bad especially as its now stand alone and doesnt need internet connection .

ford is as good as truecode , zedbull etc , works well and coded is accurate.

vauxhall has good coverage again as good as zedbull and others , its vauxhall pin reading is better than advanced diagnostics and zedbull especially on the older astra G , only abrites has more coverage on these .

fiat is hit and miss , but what it works on it does very well .

its not my 1st choice kit , but has dug me out of a hole when other kits have failed , its been worth its money alone just on the fiats it has done for me so the rest was a bonus .

if asked if my 1st choice kit id say no , if asked if value for money id have to say yes , its good on what it does , far better now its stand alone , and worth remembering if you buy the ford , vauxhall and fiat package they give you the PSA can pin code reading free , not as good as abrites on psa but an easy second place , so between fiat and psa pins it pays for itself very quickly .

I just want to make it a bit more clear, so on Fiat's it only does punto 2 & nothing else @ ALL?

Sounds like there is no better for the money to be honest.

It also works on doblo till around 2007ish with delphi body module, 93lc66b inside. Same body unit as punto 2

Just done a 2006 fiat doblo yesterday - bsi was different, was expecting a punto type but had hc912 mask 3K91D inside, but the points to solder to were different to stilo and alfa body units, needed BIG magnifying glass and very fine tip to solder to legs on this one :(

These are the ones that I need to go via obd, what a pain.
