can x100 key programmer do new keys on a vauxal astra

hi all I have to go and program a new key to an 2003 Australian astra which is a vauxhal astra in Europe and I can use my tech2 and laptop but its a pain carrying it all around so im wondering if the x100 can do it, im getting the security code tomorrow but im wondering if the x100 will even need the security code, thanks
