Hi all, as you probably already know, 2011-2013 Subaru Outback (US Models) after car accident store crash data in the Occupant module and error 029 is return.

You can remove crash data manually by disassbling module, but it's made by Delphi, so it's like GM modules doesn't have cover and you have remove selicon fill to get to the board.

Subaru select monitor III, Launch and other tools I tried cannot remove DTC's. Does anyone aware of the tool which can remove DTC's without disassebling the module? Any scan tool can do that? Thanks!!!!

i'm also curious, how some guys do it, without opening the module. i always had to open them. tried re-zeroing with SSMIII (2011 update), also didn't work. any thoughts?

I have the same issue. Error code 029 with 2012 Outback after front collision. I cannot get any other source for this information. Do I need to clear the codes from the under seat ODS unit or is the recalibration done with SSM-III enough?

This related bulletin is not saying anything about the crash data storage and clearing it: https://www.carmd.com/Tsb/Download/103195/075692
