Hi guys,

Annoying day today. Reading a Focus ST with MPPS clone, as had read that this tool is good for doing it, although read times are long. Read in around 40 minutes all fine. Go to write it with new file, MPPS says "Block transfered Correctly" for around 15 seconds, then error. Now cannot get any info from it with MPPS or Galletto genuine tool.

Any ideas how to get this back running? Not much information on this that I can find.

Hope you can help.

Thanks.

Yes indeed.

Do you know if original FGTech will do this through BDM? It says it does and tells you to check the documents, the only one I can see is ME9.7?

you can try direct ecu connection with mpps using the different speed settings. and if you have galleto it has bdm , or it is galleto 1?

Read FULL BDM !! + read post file MPPS .... and must repair dump.... MPPS delete identification ...I think that a few lines in blocks dirty ... V16 works pretty well on these vehicles :) Chinese v5, v12 (v13 fake china) no work good

v16 mpps can recover it via obd, write file only dont ID first

Thanks for your responses.

It was a V12/13 mpps clone. And it's a genuine Galletto V2 master, waiting on my BDM adapters arriving though so cannot use BDM yet. I tried reading and ID'ing with both tools on the bench, and MPPS with different speeds but no luck.

ECUTuners - can a v12 cable run v16 software or is there a difference in hardware?

You shouldn't need to wait for adaptors, BDM port pinout is the exact same as bosch pinout. Just solder the wiring straight to the pads. V12 cannot run V16 hardware is different.

I actually always soldered...never had BDm frame nor adapters. the Bosch adapters is straight trough so on bosch it s ok to solder as a very wiseman said above :D

I see, did not realise this! I thought the chip had more than just a pins straight through :hmmmm2:! Thanks for that info.

Does anyone have a pinout for how do solder for BDM on this? The FGTech documents only have the ME9.7 listed, and they only show you which is pin 1, not what each pin corresponds too.

Thanks in advance.
