View Full Version : How to either remove immo or change calibration type for Toyota vehicles

Hi everybody, I'm having troubles with a 2007 Toyota rav4, the ecu got broke and I need to replace it, I already got two, but the problem is that the vehicle's ecu has no immo option, doesn't have transponder, and the two ecus I got do have. I wonder if any of you have either remove the ecu or calibrate an ecu with a different calibration which be rejected for incapability by a normal process.

Sorry, I meant to remove the immo from the ecu. I'm stuck already.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for your answers, well, so far I am only able to sent you the image of the used (broke) ecu and the two fuse box at the engine compartment, although I thought the immo vehicle has nothing to do with this fuse box in this particular vehicle, isn't it?
However I sent it, I haven't been able to read either new nor used ecu's memories because I really don't know which is the one I have to read, ergo, I don't know if I have the programmer to read/write them, besides, the the guy who sold to me the new ecu didn't give me warranty if I opened it, so I rather try to do that until the last resort or until I be sure what to do.

Sorry for being such a dumb guy, but this is not a thing I used to do.

Thanks in advance to all anyway

These are the components could be
EPROMs, but I haven't found a full description of any of them, I believe those are not commercial numbers, I read that 25080 is the EPROM for this ECU, but I don't know which is, the number doesn't match to any of them.

You know what, I just uncover the new ecu and I found out that in fat it is the same as the old one, it has the same architecture and all the same components, but the original I believe has no immo whatsoever, while the new one, the only trouble code I get is "b2799 engine immobilizer system" and the car starts the first time just for like two seconds and then go of, then if you try to start it right after that, it doesn't even try to start, there's no pwm pulses to the fuel injectors either.
That sounds like immo active, doesn't it?
Any help would be awesome
Thanks in advance

Tanks man, the car already started and keep that way. Thanks a lot for your help.
Just one thing, do you have an idea what kind of EPROM is to look for a programmer, be able to read it and post it for further needs, I mean, it ill be good to have it if there's another guy who can't program it an wants to desable immo, isn't it?

trivilin8

Yeah, that one was the solution, the EPROM is the one that has or doesn't immo option, what I was telling you is if you know with what programmer I can read the I program inside that EPROM to post it here and keep it for further problems

Yes, in deed, I just want to know how could it be read it, I have some EPROM readers but I haven't seen any number like that in the feature list, do you know what could it be, I need to give already the car to the client, but I'd like to give something a bit useful to the forum
