Dear all,
I have an Opel Astra 1.7 cdti 59kw with EDC16C9 ecu, I worked on many of these cars but this is the first time I face a new problem: car has DTC P1400, this is electrical fault DTC specific for Opel cars.
Car came to me in limp mode, with P1400 and other 2 DTCs related to EGR flow (totally 3 faults). As usual I disabled EGR valve and got the 2 egr flow DTCs disappear. Problem is that obviously DTC P1400 stayed and if I clear it, it comes again immediately after I delete it even with engine not running. This DTC generates limp mode.
I think I have 3 options:
1) replace solenoid, but it's difficult to find used and a new part costs much
2) disable DTC from ecu file, so I can also unplug solenoid but I can't find it
3) emulate egr solenoid (it has 5 wires, identical to this valve http://choicecarparts.co.uk/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/3/9/39.jpg) so ecu will not find a solenoid electrical malfunction and I'll drive with no limp mode; egr is disabled so I'll get no DTC for "egr flow too low"
Can somebody help me? Normal EGR disable is not enough.
Attached you find original file.
