hello all
while i was searching for an answer i found that this forum stands out, with most questions replied and all. i hope that i can find my answer too.
well i have a dm800 hd pvr(clone), and just because i am curious i flashed the ssl84b over my ssl76. after a reboot without installing the proper image for the ssl , i had the error no ca found. i tried dreamup but it did not work. after uploading the flash script the machine boots to no ca found before the flash button is enabled. i found out that yassinov's ncf repair tool(2.5) was good for this job so i gave it a try. i tried all the available ssls on the software but after it says it's done it reboots to ncf state again. i was able to connect to the web interface after it finishes whatever it does and it was displaying ssl59, just for that time being i suppose.
so after that i have optiflash tool by the same guy a try. i tried the recover from ncf and update bootloader options with a proper ssl for the device. well it did update the bootloader, at least that is what i saw over the no ca found error. i tried to update to lower versions(down to 75). and i also installed a ssl84b image to get it working. it flashed ok , but no ca found was still there.
so here is the long sad story, i m stuck, can't watch my premiere league history channel, cant see the male lion's balls under the sun(just can't shake it out of my head-disturbing) . i hope you guys can tell me what i am doing wrong.
thanks in advance.

is the box deffo a "sim2" type sim mate? has it got a sticker on unit saying so, there is a few sim types knocking about now, estar, Ferrari, sim2 , a8p , and each team needs to have its corresponding modified image installed (not interchangeable), if you have checked and it is deffo sim2, then try a bl72 image to get you started, these usually flash and boot without issue , good luck and let us know how it goes pls

foa , thanks for your response,
it's not ferrari i believe , since the ferrari ssls failed and before i fd it up i saw 76-rc1 kind of ssl from telnet connection.
i will give the bl72 a try but two things, first where can i find the bl72 for a clone, and will i have to install a proper image for that? and if so should i do it before loading the ssl or after?
thanks again.

thanks. the link on this site is dead, but i found this : dreamelite-dm800-bl72--mfaraj.nfi (http://www.mediafire.com/download/z4cmjqd1mzi/dreamelite-dm800-bl72--mfaraj.nfi)
i guess it 's the same file.
it seems it's not a bootloader nfi, so will this image update the bootloader too? i can only feel that it's a silly question but i still need the answer :)

Always better to flash the bootloader first then the image just to be on the safe side

and i think i must use the optiflash during this process. dreamup won't recognize the device after it uploads the flash thing.

hello, thanks a lot to all of you. i used optiflash and bl72 worked like a charm.
it s pretty old, and i think it lacks the cccam(i hope i spelled it right) , just one opinion is enough for me, which image should i go for now, considering the fact that this is clone device.
also i would like to make a donation for this great community's expenses if i could, please let me know how.

i tried to use sunray with nfi non network mode. it did not help.
the way i did it was to flash the 84nfi , then the 2.01 image for clone and then the ssl again, without a reboot.
i got a no ca found again. and only the optiflash can help me flash the 72bl to it so that i wont see the no ca again. i m not sure what i am missing..

there is no image that's good for clones mate. as I said earlier each clone team has there own modded image to run on there sim types only, you need to establish the sim type then all will be gravy :top:

i guess mine is 2.01, i read somewhere saying that ssl76 can only belong to sim 2.01-that was the last image flashed before i killed it. and i am probably wrong about that too, no surprises.
man i am a server guy yet i cant do # about these stuff. drinks on me, when i get to see some picture on tv.
thanks again.

guys, i can t believe the shit i went through. my sim is ESTAR. i was trying the wrong sim images all the time, and wasting your precious time too. nothing like estar was written on anywhere inside the box. i was just trying the dreamup with enforcer and it was all throwing file to big. and on some forum i read that that s a usual estar sim problem, not sure if it makes any sense. well i tried a ssl84 from estar sim's website and it ran. i was not happy at all, but cursing intensively.
thanks to you guys i dig my way from the grave.
thanks a lot.

The main thing is you now know what sim you have in the receiver as there are 4 types : Ferrari-Sim2-Estar-A8P

well it seems Estar Box - DOWNLOAD - Estar SIM for 800HD (http://www.e-star-sim.com/en/down-sim800.php) the converter here can convert different images to estar images. i managed to install a new image using this. wov :)
