I recently bought a F3 with firmware on and a 28.2e channel list, which I don't use.

Ive managed to add 0.8w to the satellite list and ran a blind scan on it. Problem is, it doesn't seem to pick up any of the Finnish channels im after - YLE, YLE2, MTV3, Nelonen, JIM, as well as CMORE and URHO tv?

I previously had a TM5400 plugged in and it had a signal on these channels. Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Or if I can get a channel list for 0.8w would it help?

Cheers

If the connection from your F3 and LNB is correct then the only thing I can suggest is that your dish is not aligned correctly with 0.8w how long ago did you test your set up one other thing it might be the LNB not working but also double check you have connected the cable correctly to the F connectors and also the cable is not frayed and shorting.

You would be better adding the Transponders manually so you know you are right up to date with any changes, First one to try is the BBC world News Channel which is on 11862 H 28000 FEC 7/8 if you can pick this up then your dish is fine then try and add the other TP's manually and scan 10872 H 25000 for YLE 1&2 and so on Intelsat 10-02 / Thor 5 / Thor 6 (0.8?W) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat (http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-0.8W.php)

The OP did a blind scan so he should have picked up all channels if he was pointing correctly, do correct me if I am mistaken.

The F3's Blind scanning ability is OK but not great also it could miss transponders depending on what mhz step he has selected for a scan

Thanks,

Will try and add the transponders individually... if I can work it out! This Skybox certainly aint as easy as the old technomate!

Just looking in the menu now, and if I go into the "TP List" section I get a list containing MHz frequencies (eg 3744 MHz) and Ks/s list (eg 27375ks/s) none of which really matches up to the list on Lyngsat for the satellite. Intelsat 10-02 / Thor 5 / Thor 6 (0.8?W) - All transmissions - frequencies - KingOfSat (http://en.kingofsat.net/pos-0.8W.php) Can anybody tell me what to do exactly? Thanks a lot!

P.s. I do receive BBC World News - FQ 4489 H SR 27999

Most of the channels I am receiving seem to be from Hungary and Czech - CT24, Credo TV, Muz TV Moldova, Mooz Dance. I also get a picture for 'TV Finland (FQ 3933 V SR 27999)

go into menu and make sure your lnb freq is on universal 9750-10600 (network on and then blind scan)

Look like those sats are a mixture of a few C band & a lot of Universal band frequencies.

Do you have a universal band LNB fitted? If so, is your LNB Freq set to Universal (9750-10600) in the Antenna setup menu?

Edit...Oops, sorry badboy1965. Was sitting on this thread for a while before posting. Didn't see your post.
