May be due to the drive lense on way out or you have too much going on in the background that is slowing down the hard drive. Try closing down some apps and may be disable the on access scan on the av while buring.

Ok thanks for the bigger pic,
I noticed you are burning at max speed ?
have you tried burning at 4X, uncheck the verify disc, never use that myself.
what tpye of discs are you using ? + or - ?
is that a laptop writer ? external writer ?
desktop writer ?
what does img return about the disc, dye info etc m8.

Just done some googling m8 is this an older writer ?
if so it's probably needing replaced, or try updating the firmware on it.

Put the disc in your writer open up IMG burn and it will tell you the manufacturer of the disc and the dye used.
I'm sure i read you can cross flash your writer with a certain benq firmware, do some googling m8 as I'm a bit busy just now to search for you.
Firmware / flashing you drive so it has the latest info about discs recording speeds etc, worth doing as your seems to be aan older writer.

Try another writer m8, Verbatim discs your using are the business.
See if you can borrow an external writer, or get a newer writer, I'm positive the writer is the problem, or try looking for newer firmware as i mentioned above.

If by chance you do have other discs pop it in see what happens ok.
