Will not tell the things that I don't know for sure, but what I have heard from Smok engineer, is that for most tools there is no reason to buy or change into the new interface. For some special things like Psa dash you properly need a other kind of communication and then also a other interface is needed.
Wenn need extra info pm me.

no, new update Will also be available on the most standard interfaces.
If I have understand it right from Smok engineer, then you only need new interface for special things, like Psa dash by obd.
Should ask him the details Wenn he is back from vacation.

Last Update from MDC is from 18.04.2013 V3.99.0.8
I have a feeling the development of MDC has been discontinued. Months ago I reported several bugs in the software and not a result.
AVDI can do TFT after 6/2012... next update will include it
