is there anything else i could record to except memory stick or external hard drive?
i tried my 8gb ipod, but the box just crashed?
is it possible for me to connect my starview to my computer via usb and record onto that directly or would i have to invest in a external hard drive?
thanks

More than likely the HDD on you PC will be formatted NTFS. Better to use an external drive formatted to FAT32.

Easy enough via USB but if its a spare drive you may need to get a caddy for it. Or does it have a USB connection?

Yes not a problem but you will need to format it to FAT32. I have a small application that will do it others use swissknife. I will see if I can find some links for you.

OK here is the tool I use for formatting HDDs on XP above 40 GB to FAT32
HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool - Free software downloads and reviews - CNET Download.com (http://download.cnet.com/HP-USB-Disk-Storage-Format-Tool/3000-2242_4-201159.html)
Its just the press of a button and is straight forward.
