Hi All,

Ive decided to bite the bullet and go for one of these boxes i will be putting my order in today, just a question.

The openmedia box is it flashed the same way as dr*am and does having a motorised dish improve you channel pick up, if so what size dish would i be looking at and could anybody recommend anybody.

i have looked at several dishes all pretty big does it have to be the big dish hanging off my house like a UFO.

from my understanding the flash process is pretty simple flick to cable and flash cable side flick to sat and flash that side is it as simple as that or am i reading to to much into it.

all help and pointers appreciated.

Thanx :stupid:

Yes mate, flashing the box is exactly the same as a standard Dreambox.

You flash an image to the Sat side and then to the cable side. Once set up you power off the box at the mains, and flick the switch to chose cable or sat, dead easy, you'll see when it arrives.

In terms of dish, an 80-100cm dish with motor will get you hundreds of channels. A motorised dish is only needed if you want you dish to look at more than 1 sat. If your just interested in one sat then a fixed one will do.

any one got channel listings of what you can pull off. Thinking of motorised dish would probably be the best way forward on a standalone dish how many channels do you get. i have a standalone dish but its the small dish oval is that any good :eviltongue:

If you mean a sly mini dish then you will just pick up the fta stuff on Astra (28.2E). Heres a list.....

Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B/2D at 28.2?E - LyngSat (http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html)
