OK, I have a E60 LCI 2009 which has a EGS Immobilized Fault.

The problem occurred when the customer plugged in a CAS3+/ECU set from a X5 into the car. After plugging the set from the X5 into the E60 they drove the car and parked it back up... put the original CAS and ECU back into the E60 and from then the car failed to select a gear. The EGS is now expecting a code from the CAS, however as we all know only the E70/E71 do this... so the original CAS doesn't send anything to the EGS. I know inside the CAS you can enable EWS_EGS option and this has already been enabled but still nothing.

I have a original AVDI with full BMW options enabled and it failed to synchronize ISN together as the CAS isn't sending anything to the EGS.

Anyone experienced this or something similar or any ideas on how this can be solved?

To all the people who are going to suggest buying a new/used Mechatronic lets hold off on that for now.

I think the X5 cas has written the EGS ISN into the EGS and it is expecting the same no from the E60 cas. If you can get the EGS ISN from the X5 and put it into the E60 i believe you should be able to start the car
