ok so iv just been away for a few weeks and I unplugged the box whilst I was away come home power it up it counts to 100 flashes a few times the says 0001 like its on channel 1 but I don't get a signal to the TV (like iv not got the hdmi plugged in) iv tried putting it on another hdmi on the TV and also used a known working hdmi cable but still nothing.. my TV doesn't have scart so I cant check the output via that cable type unless I move it upstairs.. does anyone know what's going on here the box is only 2 months old.. iv reset it loads of times powered it down with button on the back unplugged it ect so I think iv covered most of the obvious tests thanks in advance.

TV not having a scart makes no difference as the F3 doesnt have a scart.
Could be the V.Format has been pressed.
Easiest way to check is to use the red white and yellow leads, in fact one will do to connected to the video socket. Then you should be able to go into the settings and check the video format output is on a compatable one.

Hi tgvirus,
If you have put it on 0001 and you have lets say Sattv5 or AJ's channel list installed then their will be no picture. As blank channel's are inserted from 0001 to 0100
Try putting in 101 as that then hopefully should bring up BBC1.
If not try what DW190 said and could well be the fact that the V-Format has changed.
Just test by attaching the (Video) Yellow RCA plug from a Red/White/Yellow Composite lead. And putting your TV on the appropriate A/V Channel.
Like DW190 say's hopefully should get a picture to enable you to check the HDMI properties in the menu.
Hope we have pointed you in the right direction to help you sort your issue out :top:

Have you actually tried changing channels, to make sure the box hasn't locked up?
As mentioned above, use a phono (RCA) lead to connect the yellow socket on the box to the composite input on your TV.
@durasoft...AJ's list starts at 0001, whereas sattv5's $ly numbered list starts at 0101.

thanks for your fast response I will get a phono rca lead and test that as I don't actual have one in the house anymore all the TVs are connected via hdmi and I don't even have a old one knocking about.. ok the TV is fine Xbox ps3 and blu ray player all work fine what I meant by I don't have a scart was that I didn't think it had a rca input but on looking again I see that its mixed in with the component hd connections. (also this is what I meant by taking it upstairs I do have TVs with hdmi and scart rca upstairs) I did try and change the channels blind (Fav ok right ok) and it changes on the display to 0002 I do have ajs channel list on whan it boots up and it counst to 100 it usaly displays the blue skybox logo I don't even get that on..

LOL. I have seen quite a few boxes on Ebay with non-working HDMI ports. Perhaps you could sell your idea on Ebay! :highly_amused:

Ebay can be a great source for boxes, especially if some other people charge the earth for these.
Cloning of these boxes is surely non profitable unless you pay more than ?49.34?p lol
Have had 4 boxes now with no problems from ebay. I must be lucky then.................
