E60 CAS keys

The E60 BMW's came out with a CAS key but still housed in the old E46 EWS style of key.
Can these keys be programmed through OBD or is there some special procedure to program them?

i did 1 last week 05 cas2 with key (use ak300 plug into the cas) obd2 did not program key. i also was able to find the mechanical keycode in the dump.

BMW multitool do these by OBD,no problem

i have made about 10 no problem at all,5 min. job....both lost key and add key

I was thinking of buying this tool, can you give me a 'heads up' of its capabilities, ie, can you use used keys on other car, all from obd etc etc.

NO,only new keys and I did most from OBD and some by connection on CAS(only because they bring it to me without car)

I didn't have any problems do keys,odometer adjust also

I did lost key on e60,e65,e90.........only problem I had whose odometer on CAS3+ BMW series 1

but did key for it by OBD,new key, used keys can't be programmed

Thanks for info mate, do you know what transponder chip is inside these keys? Maybe can be replaced and pre coded??

and what about cas4?? can this tool cope with it?

All of CAS keys are Id46,and can be 7944,7945...never open single one,I allways use keys from autokey.us and no problem till now

bmw second hand key with pcf 7942 and 7944 can be programmed EX with skt 100 :beer:

From skt 100 manual :how to program key with old key for bmw cas

1- Go to clac /CAS.
2-Load CAS dump and select 7942/7944,select key number ,select "only
save dump".
3- Place used 7944 key on device, press Ctrl+Shift+Alt all together, you
will see put old key,and then press "Make only Dump" , then save new CAS
dump and program into CAS.

I myself have made about 20 key
