View Full Version : Volvo S80 1998 Immo location help.

Hi guys
Im doing a lost key on a 1998 volvo S80 2.9,, cant find the immo, above the pedals, however i found something which is very simmilar to the module 156 TMPRO.
Please find from the picture that this is the CEM unit, picture attached, the next question is there is no plug, how can i take this CEM unit apart? Thanks inadvance.

That's it.
Take the screw and the wire socket out and all the relays than the black middle part will go out by pulling it to the right.
Inside you will find the 28F400 under the metal box.

Thanks for the help guys, I have never read any flash chip before, I have got GQ-4X from mcu mall , does this read this chip? is it straight forward reading flash chip? do you read the whole data? Thanks

Description say's it would be able to read 28f400, so you should try :)

Are you sure mate? Just checked in the GQ-4X device list, and 28F400, its not listed!, does anyone know if alternative chip from the list can be used instead? Thanks

Got it from there:

MCUmall a online store for cost for value mcu EPROM EEPROM ATMEL PIC programmer (http://www.mcumall.com/comersus/store/mcumall_TrueUSBWillemsupportICs.asp)

28f400 is there for example as pa28f400BX

welli managed to read the flash chip, but its only recognised by tmpro not tango, would someone check the dump please, from the menu i read as pa28f400BX, on the chip TB28f400.! THANKS

Oops, sorry didn't realise the dump is not been posted, anyway, I think I have a problem with my reader, sent the flash chip to tmpro agent, to have it done, thanks guys for all the help.
