35080 are register protected it wont let you overwrite, no matter what if you remove it or read on circuit.

Change the eeprom is the fastes and esay way to go, the new memory has to be errased before it can be writed so once is errase load the dump from original chip, change the lines and write all the buffer, not just the modified part.

Do not forget to do cas for this one you will need a tool to be able to do secure MCU's

You need a fresh 35080 EEPROM, Prepare the dump before you write on it, because you can write on it only one time, Also, you need to read CAS and do correction there first(before you put the speedo back on the car)...

Where do you loose it ?

It is mainly important to have acuracy information, if you don't have a solid base you will be jumping all over the place, solder the eeprom back to the cluster power up the cluster and write the correct numbers show.

After that remove the memory, read it and save it with a name to make it easy to Identified,

Other wise you will be going back and forward doing castles in the air.

If you don't do the cas the value will jump back to the hig value, keep in mind.

The procedure is:

1.-write in a pice of paper the actual reading.
2.- Remove the Cluster.
3.- remove cas
4. -Using rs 260 fix it to 0
5.- Remove chip from cluster
6.- Read it and save it
7.- have a spare chip 35080
8.- Erase it with the programer
9.- opend the file previus saved in step 6 in Hex editor
10.- once the buffer is on screen mod to the value requiered line 0 and 10
11.- have you programer write the full data
12.- Verified that line 0 and 10 are changed if not go back to step 8
13.- solder back the memory to cluster
13.- Conect CAS plugs
14.- Conect Cluster plugs

be warn.
To be safe use only the original decode programmer for this 07 3 series cas.
some of the clone programmer actually erase the MCU while attempting
to decode.
