Hi lads Ive a 1999 1.8 Turbo petrol A6 I was flashing it this evening and 1/2 way tru my mpps v12 crashed (clone unit) tried the recovery mode and flashing the ori file back but no go.

If I make a boot lead cable and bench flash will this work or does the chip need to be taken out ?

Any ideas really appreciated as Im off on holidays Saturday for 2 weeks and the owner needs his car

Thanks in advance

Try on the board and use boot pin. From experience I know the "boot pin" always helps. Sometimes you just pull the ECU and connect to the pin and stabil +12. You can find pin out ME7.5 on this forum

Just desolder the flash and use eprom programmer to program it. :thrasher:

?n 24 from eeprom to gorund , apply voltage to ecu, and remove the ground, then try to write normally!
Try several times. If no luck. flash memeory on a programer or replace from anotehr ecu

You can try without boot pin also on bench. Choose correct driver and just hit write to flash.
