Have you tried reflashing it with the latest firmware? http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f83/new-firmware-starview-3-8-04e-14963/

try factory reset and manually input keys might work best of luck menu 1570 etc.

LD80 problems can sometimes be resolved by using earlier firmware revisions, try from V6.00 upwards, (earlier firmware revisions will not AU so you will need to manually input codes).
But before flash factory reset, turn off box for a minute at back switch then back on. Then reflash as said above.
There were two batch types of Starview 3s and one batch suffered this problem, as did the clone boxes. Try and see how you get on.

OK, try as said flash with older firmware and see how it goes. If you can get into the menu after that, then progress back to the latest revision and see how stable it is.

Start off at the earliest revision, check the box for stability and see what the results are. Some revisions may prove more stable and you may be able to update to the latest version after you have found the most stable version for your box.
After all that and the problem still remains, it may be a hardware problem, e.g., bad cap on the PSU.
