you could'nt read it from car ? it's probably a ecu with flash on OFF like TP ones the switch must bee in the eeprom

if you edit vin you need to edit immo and pin also with the checksum !

in fact the original eeprom config is corrupted due to the flash that go bad and that's why it no more start !
perhaps it's possible to correct the eeprom in winols with checksum because cracked winols not support eeprom checksum on edc16

we did another Crafter, same thing happened, but he flashed back ori and started. WHen he read ori via bdm, it already had 6 chcksums not correct, so he flashed leaving bdm100to correct checksum! maybe thats what we need to try on the other one...

all eeprom checksum must been computed some checksums arent' calculated by some tools because the make of bdm not expect that changes would been made in that areas

for exemple when you flash obd the counter increase

with bdm it not increase ...
the faulty is probably du to an not checksumed counter due to a abortion of ignition before that checksum updated

if you tune so much cars why not go for real version ?
ps some tools do no eeprom checksum at all ....

for flash lot tools make checksum so don't worry for flash
when you flash obd then the eeprom is also mod due to flash counters

PS even if you tune with cmdflash you can brick this ecu you need to been sure if flash is enabled

kinda sorted, it was because of the data structure called "compatibility test checksum"
