Hope someone is able to help here.

I just received a MHVD HD800C-VI from my Uncle. The unit works and is able to watch all channels.

I have went to the MENU, and check the IP Address, and it is set to DHCP, and I noted the IP Address of the HD800C-VI.

When I use Chrome to access the IP Address, it won't connect. A scan of the IP Address for open port from 1 to 40,000 yielded nothing.
Any idea how to access it via web browser?

I used to have a DM500C, and was able to access it via Chrome browser.

Hope anyone can help. Thanks.

Believe your set does not have a webviewer plugin. that is why it is cheaper than a DM

Thanks for the reply.

On my old DM500C, I could install plugins, but not on HD800C-VI. I can't ftp to it, or ssh, or telnet to it. Did a scan for open port, did not see any for the HD800C-VI..

My DM500C was serving me very well until it freezes on green light , can't ftp or anything. Did not back the keys and scce, so now it is useless without the keys and scce for SH, after flashing. Could not find the keys and scce posted anywhere.

Hope someone can PM the links to me for the keys and scce for SH on my old DM500C, or maybe a image with the magic files.

Why do you need to set IP address? Don't think your box has Web access to view on the PC.

I see what you are talking about set IP address or ICAM.
