I have had many of these radio's in my workshop that arrived with bad soldering and always works with 1234,
I just fix soldering and original code works. Remove chip and use 1234 also works.

You still did not explain why removing eeprom lets radio accept 1234 ?
I am not arguing with you, I do not need to, I see for myself what works in my workshop.
I only asked user to try 1234, then you post all this, am I not allowed to ask him to try?
