Car: BMW F10 520d
ECU Ref: 0281017648 DDE 8513250-01
I tried to read with galletto 2, but it's saying that he cant get trough the protection.
What tool can you recommend that does this with 100% success ?
Thanks in advance.

it s edc16 if OBD wont do, BDM will work for sure, so use your galletto 2 via bdm

true
the password is encrypted with rsa on Fxx, no tool can boot the MPC without the pw.
so the best tool to use on this car would be a pickaxe or chainsaw :)

reading/writing These ECU's is not the Problem - Problem is RSA Calculation when make mods ;) and against some Posts here, i can say that some F-Models are working but F10/F11 are not!!

I guess it is confirmed that at this moment it's impossible to mod this ecu.
What about just reading/writing? ktag, galleto, trasdata? any of these would work?

i think there is possibility to read, but noone of the tool procducers will release protocol till they cannot calculate correct checksum,.... :-) - this is common with lots of ECU's - reading writing original files is often the smalles challenge, but getting ECU's to accept modified data is the real challenge ;-)

The new tprot has been tprot 8-10!!!
In the meantime mostly all tools can handle tprot 8-10 BMW

Hello Raimi.s, as I understand from your post, the f10 (petrol) can be R/W. Thanks.
Incidentally what is fvdi?

@raimi.s
which ECU is installed in the car??
Did you read by OBD?? have you tried to write modified file??
reading/writing orginal files form Flash Database has never been Problem for AVDI ;)
can you maybe share the files which you have read with Avdi??
