cant seem to find what voltage i need to give to the dc jack plug?

i want to test the outputs etc but dont know what voltage the box needs

+12v. I recommend you buy a proper wall plug adaptor to supply. The one that comes with the kit is too 'risky' as you need to attach to a battery.

thanks mate only queried it after seeing the flash voltage was more than 12v, i have a stable 12v just wanted to test something via k-line that i have here to compare.

you are welcome. yes i recall seeing up to 16v for the flash voltage via k-line.

you need 5A 12V adaptor ...

thats a lot of amps for an ecu normally .4 amps is ample and if bench work i cant even see what could give that consumption

5A is ok for normal run of the mill stuff but others need more than 5A eg:(landrovers)
