GM On Star ??

Doesn anyone know anything about On Star service. Like what kind of info is sent thru onstar, do the they see mileage, is it stored anywhere?

On Star woks only In Canada or USA , I do not think it works in Europe.
On Star is the system that you can call for help .Let say you ran out of the road and there is no Mobil phone signal , so you can call On Star and they will get you help, Police, Ambulance and etc.
I do not think it will store any Km.

Thats what i always thought, but one my customers mentioned he gets maintenance reminders thru on star and that they can do some diagnostics thru that also. So it just got me wondering how much info the actually see/receive thru that.

You can call them ,and ask about yours privacy . And you see how much they can get from your car !

True. OnStar sends you via email a complete diagnostic of your vehicle with the exact mileage (to the mile). If the service is deactivated then there are no worries.
