Company established in Shenzhen China in 1999. Boxes all look very cheap, suspect clones.

Worth a try for 65 squid. He used to supply Zeus, the proprietor of Dreamboxmagic. They are definately clones.

Ive already bought from them, got it last week. good quality I must say and worked 100%. Was delivered by parcelforce and not customs. The 2 boxes where priced $12 each also which was a nice touch to be sure:)
Was bit concerned myself, but as I paid them via credit card/paypal, I knew I was covered if anything went wrong. At those prices hard to beat. Just did a bit of playing on their site and if you order 12pcs works out about ?55 a box...man dreambox are so cheap now.

One really has to be concerned about the quality of the components at 55 GBP a box is all I can say, heh.

You could look at it another way and say how overpriced the dreambox is from original suppliers. And if they did not charge so much people would not buy the clones.

They have a referal system, I sahould of gave you my email address so I would get money for you buying stuff! hehe
Or better still, it may be benifical if the owers of the forums give out their email on dvbseller.com so whenever I buy anymore they can get paid for it?? Better someone benifiting from it then noone in my eyes.

The post takes up a good chunk of the price, better to buy a few together if you have mates who want them. They are the same as zeus's. I know 5-6 people with zeus boxes that are all fine. One did arrive broken and was replaced. Would not fancy having to send stuff back to China. Chinese customs are an absolute nightmare, especially electronics. Dunno if they do need to go back to China if DOA.

Ruprect you got me worried now about returning it if faulty! So spoke to dvbseller customer service just now and asked if it is faulty, whats the best and cheapst way of getting it fixed.?
He replied saying:
"If it is a mainboard problem, a lot of customers would just return the mainboard only. It is very easy to remove the 5 screws and the mainboard. As this makes the item much lighter, the returning costs is minimal and we shall just replace that when recieved. However you must get an RMA number from your account on the shop."
Then I said:
I would be worried about breaking any warranty on the box by removing the casing?
His replay: "We make the boxes and give you 12 months warranty on all parts of the unit. We will will honour that."
--------
Seems ok to me to only have to return the faulty board if it goes faulty:)

Just had a look at this site and I don't think it's any cheaper than any UK seller.
DM500C - ?40
P&P - ?26.62
Paypal Fee - ?7
Total - ?73.62
I've seen UK sites doing them for under ?80 so why risk buying from China!

you will pay around ?80 in total with postage. Why not stretch your budget and go for the Open Media box ?110, just got mine back and can honestly say the picture quality is better than the 500c, and you can add sat, as it does both from the flick of a switch.

Anyone have any problems with the Dreambox power adapters provided by DVBSeller.
I received a batch of 4 boxes and all the adapters blew after a few days use.
They all had the S/n D0803 .
I previously had only used D0704/711.Never had an issue.
A friend of mine had the exact same issue,6 adapters all blown.
The 803 series are suspect .
Anyone have a similar problem ?

I've just used them for the first time.
They sat in customs for a few days, but no charges.
One Dreambox came in a really battered old box, the other was unboxed and lightly bubble wrapped in the package. The result: The cable connector was bent and the front cracked (still worked fine).
Not particularly happy! I've had no reply from them yet on this.

Only trouble I've ever had with tuners have been real Dreamboxes. The one here in my home office is rubbish. The clones I've come into contact with have been MUCH better.

When I ordered, one of the box corners was a bit crumpled but otherwise contents was ok. Seems like they hand make the boxes for transportation so they fit real tight. I suspect the parcels take quite a battering to get over here.

Hello everyone,
I would like to offer a warning about dealing with DVB Seller in China. (Some may say if you deal with sellers in China you get what you deserve but that?s another issue). I ordered and eventually received a Dreambox from them. However it was faulty and I believe the tuner wasn?t working. DVB Seller told me to take the motherboard out and send it back to them and they would replace it. I sent it (international tracking) and they twice refused to accept delivery consequently it was sent back to the UK. When I have contacted them they have just given me excuses, when they have eventually responded. I am particularly frustrated because initially the unit wasn?t working, they promised to put it right, I had more expense sending it back to them and DVB Seller clearly never intended to honour their promise in the first place! I will never trust them again, it?s been an expensive and time consuming exercise. Beware!
