Cas 3 unable to read !!!!!!!!!

Last week i tried to read a cas 3 with rosfar ( Car is from 2006) but rosfar cant decode this mcu.
I also tried with digi throug diag i get no connections, so i removed cas from Car and tried to program with 4 wires also no connections.

Does someone have an idea how this is possible, is this cas updated by dealer Or something.
I was able to read a cas 3 + in the past with rosfar and with the digi ( already changed the connector on the obd lead still the Same.

Did someone had this in the past ?

2006 it must be CAS3 and yours is CAS3+ ? Can you post a pic from PCB

Its a cas 3 the Car is already gone but it is the Same as the cas in rosfar manual.
The one with the metal oscillator.

Only difference i have one extra ressistor under the purple dot.

Try with this wire up from 912x programmer been told its better & safer at reading then the rosfar one

I Will try your connection , the difference is the white coax right.

If not read , remove crystal from PCB,i hope help you.

The car comes this weekend, i will try your connections/options and post result.
I still have a r270 (which works good on eeproms) but never tested on a cas or ezs.

I might give that a try.

When cas3 or cas3+ has got an update from BMW dealer, no chance with Rosfar to read no matter which connection you do.
DP3 can do this in this case (and maybe other tool too).

I have never had a problem with Rosfar reading a cas3/3+ following a BMW dealer update. Possibly it is because mine is a genuine Rosfar. Arthur.

After bmw dealer update you cant do this car cas by obd
yes this is thru!!!!
but with original rosfar you can do any cas 2.3.3+ with out any problem.
Sometimes dp3 dont work with cas3+ Direct
but rosfar work 100% never fail on any cas or ezs.

Is There a way to Find out if this Car have a dealer update, the strange thing is that i was able to do a 2011/2012 X1 (cas3+) without any problem.

I have ORIGINAL Rosfar and it DON'T work on some CAS units AFTER update from dealer.
No matter what connection you try.

Then i need to do it with "9S12 + H1" cable and DP3 which works 100%.

It's also very obvious that ORIGINAL Rosfar can NOT do CAS after latest updates because BMW change each time
their acces-protocol for the CAS and Rosfar simply don't have it because nobody make updates anymore for Rosfar !

Carparts: I suggest there is something wrong with your Rosfar. I have done many CAS units that I know for a fact have been updated by BMW and that is with a Rosfar clone and also with my R270 and my genuine smelecom DSP3 with in-circuit adapter. The BMW update does not stop the Rosfar from reading them. It merely stops you from being able to read and program them via OBD. I always try them OBD first. If that doesn't succeed, I have never, ever failed to read and program with Rosfar.

the time me also happens to me can not read + cas, formerly never had problem, I have ROSFAR, and DP3 and the two inform the wrong connection !!!!! to any new connection to CAS3 + ????

Forget about dealer update it does only affect obd programming thats why on later bmw and mini you have to take cas out and do with rosfar done plenty that wouldnt go obd but went with rosfar

then mount cas back in car and see if car will start or not.
maybe cas is dead.
