hi, this is my first bmw
i got avdi - but no manual for ews key programming
any advice how to do it please?

with AVDI , you can't program key via OBDII for BMW X5 Equiped with EWS3 , only by Dump using tag-key tool , Tango or Tmpro .

if i find , i'll share these infos .

but , there are programmers like Omega and orange5 , you can read motorola without desolder Mcu .

I believe autologic can do ews3 obd if you want to pay ???? for it

Autologic can sync in a new one and add keys via obd2 done mini with ews4.

really , can you explain this a little more please , and how the key gets program , from the ignition switch ?

I doubt Autologic can do it via OBD - I'd have to see proof of that ;)
You might be on about the Velco remotes which have a bar code - many tools can program them.

I use AK90 as done in-circuit - easy. Was told the xx47 mask processor should be removed tho as could lose data - so I've been told.
