What does OE2 mean? (and is there a new dreambox coming?)

I know I use OE2 images with my box as it's in the image filename always, but what does OE in the OE2 stand for? Open Enigma 2?

Also, somebody mentioned dream multimedia making a new "V2" version of dreamboxes where the source code will be CLOSED, and mention of OE4? (is it a new enigma version for the new boxes?)

OpenPli.org made an announcement on 21st October saying:
"OpenPLi stops actively supporting Dream Multimedia STB’s
With the decision of Dream Multimedia to abandon open source for their STB’s, our motivation for dealing with the consequences of that has dwindled.
This has gotten to the point that we are no longer willing to apply Dream Multimedia specific patches, which is why we do not support their v2 STB hardware."

Luckily my boxes are V1.
