wrong place in resistor and capacitor , maybe in the swap you must check the correct value of the resistor , if you lose connection while reading you must change the capacitors . for better look information check the original site for repair it has photos of the adapter

Hey, the question i want to ask is that, WHEN you CHANGE the big IC MCP2515, in the clone adapter, how do you update it so that it will work, because seemly like when you change that IC, you will need to update the A1 adapter and knowing well this is clone, it can harm the unit...

it`s A1 adapter so don`t need any update.

Test +12V on transistor pin (see photo posted here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f155/carprog-opel-can-read-problem-383567/#post2266905 ) and check resistor values and not swaped resitors with capacitor. If all is ok replace MCP.
P.D. A1 adapter not work with VW CAN ecus

12v transistor is on, check for can fiat ducato 2007 dashboard, which does not replace the resistor with a capacitor in a1?

See photo and see your adapter, some a1 adapters clone have swapped place resistor with capacitor. for now i not use carprog for ducato dash... maybe you need Fiat adapter female to male, or maybe fiat adapter is wrong, check it
