I tried to read a cas3 (912dg256) with original Rosfar, i couldn't get a read so i plugged the cas unit back in the car and everything was dead, key not working, no dash, etc. Luckily i did the car last year and saved the cas eeprom via the rosfar. I reloaded the original eeprom and everything came back to life but now the car won't start, it turns over but won't fire up. Does anybody know if that could be a fault with the cas flash? Or should i be looking elsewhere?

I had this once a few years ago. I think one of my wires came loose while I was reading micro & it wiped data. I had old backup from the same car so wrote that back & realigned CAS with DME & all was fine. I'm not 100% but I think you can do this with X431 (I've seen it in the menu) or autocom. The old EEPROM data won't start the car because it has a rolling key code (so I've been told).
