hi friends
I have Audi S5 2011 engine CAUA 4.2l FSI / 260 kW when I try to start the car I have an error message in the instrument ( do not start steering defective )and the ignition switch for this car did not become on I have trouble code in kessy 05

VAG 02811: Electronic steering column lock control module - Faulty

I installed an other steering lock ( second hand ) and then I got an other trouble code

VAG 02811: Electronic steering column lock control module - no or incorrect basic setting/adaptation

the steering lock problem happened after car accident and all airbag components was deployed

is there any way to make the ignition switch on and start the car without replacing the steering lock
is there any way to replace the steering lock with second hand one

I have ODIS 2 I tried to program the steering lock and it asked for online connection and di not success

I have the same problem, the same fault codes but with 2011 a5 2.0tdi
Is there any solution ?

Rumor say that is possible to turn off steeringlock in bcm.

For all who will have same error, do not hurry remove ELV, just remove and read BCM2 data first , post there or send me in PM, need check errors in this data and repair!

Hi.
Can someone check this dump from BCM2 Audi A4 B8 ?
Car is after crash and come with no key. I Added new key but now ther is ELV error, stearing lock defectiv on dash.

Check the ELV power and Lin wire first. Check if really the key is programmed and status 020 chanel in 05diag module.
