Hello there,a mate of mine has been on the phone telling me of the same problem,I have told him 2 new keys which im not too sure if the keys are any good,he has just inputted them to his starview and i have told him to wait 5 mins on a certain channell.I dont think he will be able to connect his box to the computer to use the flashware so is there any other way i can get the right keys ?
Any help please

The SV4 emulator was compromised by U*C and you will only have a handful of channels left.all other boxes seem to be ok so far

they didnt change any keys so it would have been using the same keys,im not saying they didnt do something but surely other boxes would have been affect they would hardly just target sv 4 users

u meant to say a factory reset and autoscan to bring back channels,as a set default only deletes keys and will update again.

just a note a number of places have had their boxes changed from dvb/t to dvb/c due to upgrading.
loss of channels can also happen when problems happen.

that would only be in places where ntl-mmds and chorus mmds over lap and they would have to change the boxes and the transmitter on the same day

true one area they moved into, the whole workforce was there they changed everything, and when they left the t boxes did work, someone had a dvb/c box and it worked so now location is dvb/c now.

this has been going o a while now i Ireland, i posted athread about the sv 4 missing channels a while back. I was chatting with a guy on another forum and he maintains its a problem with either the tuner or the board itself. I'm inclined to agree with the post that said the emulator has been comprimised.surely there has to be some way to get the manufacturers of these boxes to come up with a fix, I tried to contact the people I got my boxes from to see what they could do but have still had no reply.

as far as i know it does not matter what type of box you have in Ireland i would advise anyone who is thinking o buying a box in the republic not to bother as according to most people the end of this year nag 3 will be completely rolled out

the keys didnt roll so how would have affected the emulator on just the sv4,i cant see how they would be the only boxes affected, surely the eurovox or some of the other boxes would have been affected

Not all emus are alike and given the understanding, (or lack of), from the current coders of the SV4. Earlier Starview models were looked after by a more "home based" coder and hence why they are still work.
You do not need to change keys to kick out a badly written emu.
It could be fixed if it was supported fully, but sadly that does not seem to be the case.
