Interchangeable ECU hardware Database
Hello. With forum members help I want to create Interchangeable ECU Database for Bosch, Siemens, DENSO and other engine ECU`s.
I think that some of you met situation when you need ECU but you cant find one with the same Bosch number. Or may you have find same number ecu but its expensive. Usual same engines uses same hardware ECU`s with different software and different Bosch number. So you need to know which one BOSCH ecu numbers uses same hardware.
Also not only identical hardware ECU`s can be changed. ECU`s with same PCB and lower components count (4Cyl engine) and higher components count (6cyl engine) also can be interchanged. But only HI ecu can be used instead of LOW but not vise versa.
For example for OPEL Zafira 1.9TDCI engine (0 281 012 549) I have used ECU from Vectra (0 281 013 409). Ecu looks different (Missing screw mounts) different BOSCH number and software but after reflashing it works the same as original ECU. Thing is that booth ECU`s are using identical hardware. In this case they are interchangeable. Only need to be reflashed. But here comes a problem. You dont know what number ECU you can use instead of original one.
With yours help we can create interchangeable ECU`s database. What you need to do is only:
* Take a high quality picture of ECU inside,
* write down Bosch number, or take a picture of label,
* Car manufacturer name and model.
* Engine,
* Manufacture year
and post all info here or doe limit of picture size post in this forum, send pictures and all info to my mail: sigius @ mesklubas . lt
