Anybody have experience with trying Powergate 2 / PWGpro on Windows 8 ?

Glad to hear that ... Here the powergate is not recognised by PWgpro (says not connected).
Device managers says driver not installed!!
Ive tried pwgpro version 3.94 and the latest (4.05) ...

if its a chinese clone, id doubt it will work at all, in which case test on a xp, machine,
if original maybe try running as admin, or compatibility mode

I work only with original tools winols, titanium all original !!
I've tried all the administrator stuff...
Is there a patch that needs to be installed ??

ok ok, just allot of talk with clones from china
you need to talk to powergate technical then

...will do, but something just came up my mind thou!
Do I have to reset (erase) the powergate before using it in a new laptop? Maybe thats my issue...humm
Worst case scenario I still have my old laptop that I know its working with very well and under xp.

No you shouldnt have to erase, its data, should work,
the powergate 2 very old, now.
i would just speak to alientech see if they support

Hi i had some free time during Christmas and i built windows 8 drivers for my powergate 3.86 (not china clone)
They work under windows 8 64bit without problems. I included a help file with some quick tips.(You have to disable driver authentication a stupid safety routine of windows 8)
After installing drivers, please mark the pwpro.exe as "Run as administrator" and in compatibility mode for winxp sp3
Working ok without issues on my new win8 laptop :)
I've also included v3.86 version.
