How have you bridged the connection?
Have your laptop connected to wifi with ethernet from laptop to box.
Go to control panel, adapter settings, right click wifi connection hit properties at the bottom, go to sharing tab and tick the box "allow other network users to connect via this connection".
I take it you have done this?
It is possible, although this type of connection could lead to freezing depending on the strength of your wifi, etc.

Enabling ICSTo enable ICS, on your host computer:

mshelp://help/?id=Microsoft.Windows.Resources.ShellExecuteTopicI conClick to open Network Connections. (shortcut:shell:::{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}\::{7007ACC7-3202-11D1-AAD2-00805FC1270E})

Right-click the connection that you want to share, and then click Properties. http://content.windows.microsoft.com/BetterWhenConnectedHelpWS/GetContent.aspx?assetID=18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b&documentSet=en-US&Prod=WIN700&Market=GB If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Click the Sharing tab, and then select the Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s Internet connection check box.
Notes

The Sharing tab won't be available if you have only one network connection.

You can choose whether to select the Allow other network users to control or disable the shared Internet connection check box.

Optionally, to allow other network users to use services running on your network, click Settings, and then select the services you want to allow.

When you enable ICS, your local area network (LAN) (mshelp://windows/?id=9ee3cd5d-e918-42ef-a7af-e7b0bb1b7c2a#gtmt_gls_local_area_network_lan_def) connection gets a new static IP address (mshelp://windows/?id=d660d997-3a81-4304-a604-38c6334b1d2c#gtmt_ip_address_def) and configuration, so you'll need to reestablish any TCP/IP (mshelp://windows/?id=46ff539d-6cb8-4984-931d-ee0720c8342f#gtmt_transmission_control_protocol_in ternet_protocol__tcp_ip__def) connections between your host computer and the other network computers.
To test your network and Internet connection, see if you can share files between computers and make sure each computer can reach a website.

Configure TCP/IPTo use ICS, make sure the local area network (LAN) connection on each network computer is configured to get an IP address automatically. To do this:

mshelp://help/?id=Microsoft.Windows.Resources.ShellExecuteTopicI conClick to open Network Connections. (shortcut:shell:::{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}\::{7007ACC7-3202-11D1-AAD2-00805FC1270E})

Right-click the LAN connection, and then click Properties. http://content.windows.microsoft.com/BetterWhenConnectedHelpWS/GetContent.aspx?assetID=18abb370-ac1e-4b6b-b663-e028a75bf05b&documentSet=en-US&Prod=WIN700&Market=GB If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) or Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6), and then click Properties.

Click Obtain an IP address automatically or Obtain an IPv6 address automatically, and then click OK.

The Internet options on your network computers should also be configured for ICS. For more information, see Change Internet settings for ICS (Internet Connection Sharing) (mshelp://windows/?id=0bc25559-ef18-40aa-bd34-f4e04d8c32b6).
Don't use ICS on a network with domain controllers (mshelp://windows/?id=f5c7589a-76ae-4f48-9bbe-89417a909358#gtmt_domain_controller_def), DNS servers, gateways, or DHCP servers. And don't use ICS on systems configured for static IP addresses.

Silly question but is the F5S set to "Ethernet"?

Have you tried disabling and enabling the lan connection.

don't use the wifi option as it removes the chance to use the new EPG 7 day since it needs the USB port for a Hard Drive / pen drive.
Use homeplugs or a wifi repeater then a lan cable to the box.

Wouldn't work with your setup as requires access to one of the routers ethernet ports.
Your only option is either look into a wifi dongle for your box or try and get your laptop situation sorted

No it will now work as whats been said you need an ethernet port from the router.

Try a wifi repeater. They have an ethernet port.

So I can share my wifi to the repeater wirelessly. then Ethernet from repeater to box.?

Yes, I believe the repeater just carries the wireless signal and you can use the ethernet port.

That repeater I can't imagine will be very good at all..
The routers not even in the same house as you and the antenna's on those things are next to nothing.
I'd say get an old router, put dd-wrt and go from there.. Something you can control the TX power on atleast
Is your house detached?

Havent a clue what dd-wrt is?? haha. and no mate block of apartments, just gonna use a wifi adaptor for now and just do without the epg untill my own broadbands installed.
