Good day members of DK

I have a 2009 Audi A4, TDI, B8 with a EDC 17.5 ecu in it. I am trying to read the full dump on the bench with genuine Abritus but Abritus is telling me to put the ecu into boot mode. Are there any members who can direct me as to how to put this ecu into boot mode and read with Abritus?

Many thanks in advance

You need this special function:
AN054 - ECU EDC17/MED17 programmer through boot mode (http://abrites.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=57&product_id=273)

Also you need to open the ecu and make the test point for your ecu. Doesn't work by OBD

Yes mate I did try and 3 days later I still havent recieved any reply from them. Sometimes I wonder if it is just easier for them to ignore a customer as they already have your money for all the modules they sold you but to back-up support for a difficult question is not so easy for them. But anyway mate another member here at DK has already helped me with boot mode and I have already read the flash so this thread is already sorted and closed.

Have you tried mate

Not a problem mate, I will help you if like you say one day your supplier does not help you then I can help you or any of the DK members who know how because when all others fail DK is always there to help its members.

One pic is of ecu pin out and other pic of connection on abritus 16 pin obd cable.

I have now read the ecu and you can see ther files here:http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f178/edc17cp14-immo-off-abritus-392063/

You can find all ecus in vag commander manual.

For reading with avdi there is now cable available without need to solder Boot mode, works perfect
