sometimes fgtech wont read via obd those. direct pinout shoudl do it. Did u also supply ecu with 12v or the bdm pads?
post a photo of your setup

I'm trying by BDM and don't work the pads have also +12V. Never test in EDC16C39 but with EDC16C9 work without problems, but today EDC16C9 don't work too... maybe died my FGTECH clone

Maybe you made a shortcut and your clone has now faulty bdm, pinout is that one for sure, and ecu should be supported.

If you have v48-v51 fgtech try swapping the 74hc14 to see if bdm works again.

Ok, but i can swap eeprom and flash manually unsoldering to any edc16c39 with other serial number. I have a edc16c39 from astra but with different serial number

first swap eeprom . get car started. if it runs fine leave it that way if car starts but doenst run so good, swap flash too. doesnt matter if its diferent number

Then i asume the mpc56 rom info is the same for all edc16c39???

I don't know what is the problem i try to read Alfa 156 EDC16C8 with fgtech v52 now and read ok by obd and bdm... then galleto is not died, the mistake is the error "Micro not supported".

This is my galletto i made some changes, 74hc14D changed by original, Add Filter Epcos, Add Filtro Can TDK, swap capacytor 220uf 35v for 470uf 35v, 100uf 50v for 330uf 50v, and 10uf 50v for 100uf 50v, for now i not had problem

if u can id but not read via BDM then problem is the tool. but you already tested on others and it was fine , probably ecu has something bad...read protection(usually bdm reads those too)

what are all those modification suppose to improve in the fgtech?

The capacyotrs and 74hc14d if is have problem with bdm connection, and filters for Obd2.
My ecu is dead not only no comunicate by bdm,no id by bdm, by obd not connect too. I open other EDC16C39 with ref. 0281014451 and is not the same, some components changes.

Today is not a good luck day.

l have an old edc16c9 in the shop (second hand) anyway l like to try and kill to see if things can be recovered , on this l put bdm pins on wrong row over so 12v was on wrong point for a second and thats it the same fault you have error reading mpc , l read alot about using fgtech with the silly power switch being on when lining up pins
advice to anyone is unplug all 12v feed and look twice and then look again

YES l KNOW ITS AN OLD THREAD
