Hi all,
I have a problem with swapping [used] ECU on Skoda Fabia II, MY 2007, engine 1.2/6V

ECU:
Simos 9.1
03D 906 023
Siemens 5WP40417 04
EEPROM 93C86

I know both PINs, tried to adapt by VCDS but without success.
If I've changed VIN, Immo ID and PIN, in EEPROM, then it appears DTC "Incorrect EEPROM checksum".
Is there any way how to calculate EEPROM checksum? or adapt used ECU?

Many THANKS

Hello.
when you write the pin in the (log in) always leave ignition on 30 minute before click do it. and after can accept if your pins are correct.

Are you checked security wite times??
Go to instrument [17] Meassure values [08] Group 024 and check times
Go to immovilizer [15] Meassure values [08] Group 003 and check times
If the times are actived you must wait with the key in position ON.

I attached procedure too.

If you continues with problem post your dumps or try to read pin from inmovilizer (dash)

M8s thanks for response but the old unit is not available :-(
By VIN and ETKA-cat corresponds ECU part n.: 03D 906 023. I have 2 used ECUs first 03D 906 023 and second 03D 906 023 B. I can't adapt both by VCDS or I'm making some fatal mistake in the procedure.

procedure:

- Installation ECU in the car ,
- Ign ON- flashing immo LED ( immo active )
- Start VCDS ,

immo 25

measure 08
- waiting times - all is 0
- immo status - ecu reply - 1 -yes
- start enabled - 0 -no (immo active)
- keys adapted - 2

engine 01
Login 11
- Enter PIN ( ECU ) in 5 digit format ,
- Do it ,
- Label show "The unit adopted login",
- OK

( Waiting 2-30 min and tested without waiting)

adaptation 10
- Channel 50 ,
- Read,
- 1st top boxes labeled TEXT is currently displays: PIN?
- Enter PIN (original) in 5 digit format ,
- Test
- The text currently displays: WAITING
- After about 5 seconds the 1st and 2 top boxes displays the VIN of the car and the immo LED turns ON (adaptation immo)
- save
- done
- end
(At this stage of the procedure tested with waiting 0-30 min before ign off, also tested without waiting and waiting 0 - 30min before saving adaptation )

- Ign OFF
- Waiting cca 2- 10 min
- Ign ON
Is this correct procedure?Because Immo LED flashing and VIN and immo ID in the ECU unchaged.
How rewrite VIN , Immo ID and PIN in EEPROM, without problems with checksum?
THX

1) my friend if your old ecu not available, and how you know the original pin code? you get pin from the dash?
2) because when you wont to adapt must first put in the login the pin code of the new used & after in the adaptation must you use the original pin code of the car. so let us did you have the pin original of the car?

This is correct procedure , but you do not need to wait 30 min when you see VIN in adaptation.
When you see VIN in adaptation do SAVE , Go Back , close controller , turn ignition off , wait 30 sec , turn it back on and immo light should go away.

Also MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 12V all the time, if is under 12 V it may not adopt correct.

Yugo, thank to you.
Of course, batt connected to the charger.
When i see VIN, then Save. After saving, immo LED off for about 1sec. and then lights up again(not flashing, permanently on)...
-Back
-Close
-Ign off
Wait about 30-60s.
-ign ON
immo LED flashing:-(

Hi,
NO, in "81-extra" is still the wrong VIN and ID. I use orig VCDS 12.12

This is really strange .
I would contact Ross-Tech direct via email and see what they think. I never had this kind of situation.

Hi m8,
I solved by VAS in few sec. Orig VCDS didn't do that in this case.
