Hi i bought an f5s from ebay and got a 1 year gift, i only used it in my house and now it only lasted few weeks and its gone. i didnt even do multiroom etc. i contacted the seller but no response, is there anything i can do to get my money back or for not getting what i paid for? i mean if i complain to ebay or paypal is this going to be a bad idea? i dont have the courage to bring this up to them. maybe he sold a months gift and sold it to me for 1 years gift?

Another case of if its too good to be true then it is, You could try and Complain to Ebay but have a look at how the Advert was worded as in 'Gift' or 'Warranty' as this will be the get out clause for the seller

even if it was worded with gift aint that illegal both ways? im scared to complain just encase it harms me? i mean how can you tell ebay that i didnt get the gift for stated? it will sound illegal from my side too? this is tricky and i just dont know what to do.

Precisely he has you by the balls you cant complain because how do you say i was promised a years subscription to a card Sharing server without landing yourself in the proverbial Doo! Dah!
And this is exactly the reason why this type of advert should be Avoided like the palgue

i do happen to know his phone number and address as i originally wanted to collect from his house, can t ebay do anything or paypal refund my money? i tried calling his mobile but not answer. i mean even if he claims 1 year gift and i have all the messages in my inbox him claiming i will get all the channels etc and that he has his own server or something. cant i show that to ebay? or is it too late and i cant do anything about it?

Hi you can put a complaint in at eBay just go to the ressolution centre and put the reason as not described I am not saying you will get your money back but you can give it s try ? Or just try and get another gift some do trials 24 or 48 hours or a month ? Good luck scotty

i can try that but i know they will comeback with something like this is a FTA box etc etc. even if i can show proof that in the conversations on ebay messaging that he clearly says i will get all the channels for that amount of time, i dont think there anyway to prove it because it illegal both ways right?
this is the message on there advert NOTE TO EBAY: **The term ‘ gift’ means the period of extended warranty in number of months WE ARE NOT SELLING CHANNELS OR CHANNEL LISTS. I DO NOT REPRESENT ANY MEDIA COMPANIES NOR HAVE ANY ACCESS TO ANY OF THEIR CONTENTS. DO NOT REMOVE THIS LISTING AS I AM NOT VOIDING ANY POLICIES. THIS IS NOT A DESCRAMBLER SERVICE. THANK YOU
now even though they wrote that on the advert on the private messaging it was completely different cant i show the private inbox messages and hopefully ebay read that?

To be honest I would chalk this one up to experience mate, as has already been said you can't really complain to anyone as your likely to drop yourself in it.
move on and find an alternative solution.
