View Full Version : Honda VFR with unknown KEIHIN controller...

Hi folks!

I need your help.

I have a Honda VFR ECU, I need to make keys, all keys are lost. Module is unknown to me, neither Tango, TmPro or ZedBull know this type.

ECU IS is KEIHIN 38770-MGE-644. Looks like this:

VFR1200F PGM-FI (KEIHIN ED, 38770-MGE-644, 6961-203026) : Carmo Electronics, The place for parts or electronics for your Motorbike Quad Scooter Car or Jetski (http://www.cdidoctor.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=497_635_1550_1817)

Need to know, where to look for eeprom memory.

Still not sure if Tango can make working keys, but want to give it a chance.

I can give you T5 data,but you need to read 93c46/56/66,dont know what variant of memory will be exactly,but I have solution for all 3...

That's a nogo mate, this one uses an ID46 transponder.

I can make the key myself (I hope) but I need to know where to look for the eeprom, don't want to mess it all up.

If ID46 read 93c66,we make dump virgin,load back dump,then use blank PCF7936 with ignition on 5 seconds,turn off then turn on again and start bike...

Okay folks, sorted out!

Digged out 93c66 eeprom, made transponder with Tango.

Works fine.

Hello I have the same model with 4 plugs but looks the same. Is the chip location on the sticker side to the left?

Hello! I have a problem with honda quad trx 420 rancher, 2008 year. Quad will not start the engine. The ECU controller does not turn on the fuel pump and the check light. Installation cables is correct. I need to check the eeprom input. Because the controller constantly supplies current to the ignition coil. There was a problem with the installation cables and the eeprom could have been damaged.
I send attachments, photos of ECU with red arrow where is eeprom memory. and others pics like a diagram.
