Hello to all!

I know most of you are located in the UK but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good receiver that covers a lot of channels.I don't know much on the subject but am looking to get rid of cable and get something that has more channels from Europe.

Very much doubt you will be able to pick up European satellites such as 13e, 16e, 19e and 28e in the US due to the satellites footprint and the curvature of the earth regardless of the size of your dish.

The best you can hope for is to find a satellite that covers your part of the US that carries European channels FTA. Lyngsat is a good website to scour as you will be able to see a complete list of channels available per satellite.

If you do your homework and with the right equipment you will get your rewards.

I used to use this. Has a lot of content from U.S. including movies (mostly old movies) plus channels from any chosen Country.

I cant see there being much for free in the usa or the caribbean , it certainly wont replace their cable or dish network
as already explained, the usa cannot pick up our satellites due to the laws of physics , just as we cannot pickup those aimed at japan or china
