ipod 4g to tv issue

Hi, I just bought a cable from amazon to connect an ipod 4g to a tv via hdmi (http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/high_definition_multimedia_interface.cfm) : ( link (http://www.amazon.co.uk/VicTsing%C2%AE-Cable-Adapter-iPhone-1080P/dp/B00EDB3R3E/ref=pd_ybh_1) ). When i connect it to the tv I can get sound on you tube but no picture ,the ios (http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/term.cfm/ios) is above 6 as pointed out on the description so I would appreciate any input or help with this ! cheers

These cables are best purchased from apple.
Third party cables are known to be problematic as the iOS is updated.
If you're jailbroken check out resupported on Cydia.
