Hi guys just getting into keys don't really need to do cut to code as only doing spare keys my mate has a lock shop that he is shutting down he has offered me his Silca Matrix S and Silca GT40 Tibbie are these a good starting base? And what sort of money are they worth they are 2nd hand but perfect working order? He has said make me a offer. Don't want to spend thousands on a Miracle A5 just yet as it is not going to be my full time job and I don't need to cut to code.
Cheers for the help.

The GT40 is a cutter blade part No. I assume the tibbe machine is a Delta FO? If so id snap it up. Tibbe machines rarely come up second hand.
Personally id skip the matrix. While a good machine its only a duplicator. Save the extra and get a cut to code.

Buy the Matrix and find some Klom adapter for ford tibbe like this a pair of chucking tools for car key cutting-in Tool Parts from Home Improvement on Aliexpress.com (http://www.aliexpress.com/item/a-pair-of-chucking-tools-for-car-key-cutting/748143125.html) to use it with Matrix
You will save some space and will do the same job ;)

I have a cheap 'klom' one and a cheap chinese key cutter and and cut keys ok, I removed the circlips as they were too stiff and they are not needed as the lug screw that holds the tibbe key stops the part falling out.
