Super USB - Does IRL work in the UK ?

Hiya guys,

I have a few questions that i'd like to ask you all, let me start at the beginning.

I have a Super USB box a few months old and have started having a few issues so ive started looking into things a bit, Im not sure is Super USB is a star view box 4 or not or even 3 ? if it does have one of these numbers how do i fing that info out ?

Next thing is I'm in the UK and have version 1.09 which is the Ireland version not UK (dont know why its like that) but my brother who lives 10 miles away has 1.07, also he can get channel 504 (the PPV) but i cant on mine also i have channels dropping off every now and again, and sometimes i can go to a channel and get nothing but a black screen so i go to the next channel then back again and its working....

Are these normal issues or am i just a freak of the Super USB world lol

Im going to download the manual etc later and format the box and try the 1.07(if you think its worth while) so any help or pointers would be appriciated(or if someone has 10 mins on MSN to go through it with me:saint:)

The super usb is the starview 4 it updates with a usb stick, the starview 3 updates via a null modem cable check the back if it has a usb port or 9pin cable port, you should have 1.07 for uk not the 1.09, as for the msn its always best to keep it within the forum then it is open for everyone to see.

Thanks for the reply Wilf, Its a USB in the back so it must be a 4, Would the fact its running on 1.09 be causing the issues im getting?

I have just got the 1.07 and the "How to" guide so im going to have a go after my dinner
