Hi
i have just started to get the"no free tuner " message when recording one channel and trying to watch another , both tuners are set exactly the same and I have the latest vix image. It has only started to do this over the last couple of weeks, I have to reboot and everything is fine for a couple of hours but then it will give message out again! I am at a loss, the box is not a clone and is 2years old . I also have a fixed dish
Any help appreciated
Mike

Press menu and check the timers see if you have anything running. When you have greyed out list it usually means channels are unavailable because of recording on that transponder.

Press menu > setup > service searching > sat finder > should see tuner a signal agc etc all good? click cursor on right should give the same for tuner b. If both tuners are showing good signals and working your image may be corrupted and you may need a fresh install.

I have just swaped cables round and rebooted and now both tuners are working but dont know if this is because I have swaped cables or rebooted. Last week when I rebooted both tuners work but after a couple of hours b goes down :-(

You would check cable and fittings then lnb and if all were ok you would then look at box for problem. Hope your sorted.

I had exactly the same problem a few days ago. I was on the verge of loading the the latest image when i remembered i had backed up recently , so i restored the backup and that solved the problem.
